Start with the right mental model

LoloBuy describes itself as a service that helps users purchase products from Chinese sales channels. In practice, that makes it an intermediary rather than the manufacturer, seller or international carrier. You choose a product, LoloBuy places or assists with the domestic purchase, the seller sends the item to a LoloBuy warehouse, and you later submit a separate international parcel. Keeping those roles separate prevents many beginner mistakes. A marketplace seller controls the product listing and domestic fulfilment; LoloBuy controls parts of the purchasing and warehouse workflow; a third-party logistics provider carries the international parcel; customs authorities make their own decisions.

This also explains why one checkout is not the end of the transaction. The official help centre describes a two-stage process. First, the buyer pays for the product and any Chinese domestic delivery cost. After the item reaches the warehouse, the buyer selects stored items, submits a parcel and pays the international shipping charge. The official checkout copy also states that international freight is calculated separately. A low product price therefore cannot be treated as the landed price. Your realistic budget needs room for domestic delivery, optional warehouse services, international freight, possible tax or duty, payment fees and the cost of resolving a return.

Step 1: choose and verify the source listing

The current official guide says a shopper can paste links from supported marketplaces such as Taobao, Tmall, JD.com, Yupoo and Weidian into LoloBuy’s search bar. It also describes keyword search for recommended products. A pasted link is usually the safer starting point because it lets you compare the LoloBuy result with the original page. Check the seller name, selected variation, colour, size, quantity, displayed domestic postage and whether the listing still shows meaningful product information. Screenshots are useful because marketplace pages and prices can change after you order.

Some listings are captured automatically; others open a manual shopping-agent form. Manual entry is not a defect, but it transfers more responsibility to you. Copy the exact product name and variant, include a direct link, write unambiguous remarks, and avoid using a screenshot as the only product reference. LoloBuy’s own disclaimer says products shown through its shopping-agent functions are products from third-party platforms, not products sold by LoloBuy itself. It also warns that special-platform orders can involve additional service fees, purchasing failure, shipping risk or weaker return support. In short: the platform can facilitate the order, but it cannot turn a vague or risky seller listing into a predictable purchase.

  • Save the original product URL and a screenshot of the chosen variation.
  • Record colour, size, quantity and any seller-specific measurements.
  • Treat “in stock” as information to recheck, not a permanent guarantee.
  • Do not assume a spreadsheet label proves authenticity, seller quality or future availability.

Step 2: review the first payment

Before paying for the product, separate the line items. The official guide says the first payment covers the item and Chinese local delivery. It also says the platform supports multiple currencies and lists several payment methods, but payment availability changes by country and account. LoloBuy has published a series of payment announcements during June and July 2026, including country-specific and channel-specific updates. That is exactly why a static article should not promise that PayPal, a bank card, a cryptocurrency channel or a local bank-transfer method will appear for every reader. Your checkout is the current evidence.

Read the order total, currency conversion, payment fee and domestic postage before confirming. If the seller offers a discount that LoloBuy has not captured, use the order enquiry or remark field rather than assuming the lower price will be applied automatically. The help centre says agents may contact users by in-site message or email when information is needed. A practical habit is to check messages after payment until the order changes from processing to purchased. Delayed replies can hold an order in a confirmation state, particularly when a seller changes a price or a requested variant is unavailable.

Step 3: understand purchasing and domestic delivery

After the first payment, the shopping agent contacts the seller and purchases the item. The seller then handles domestic shipping to the LoloBuy warehouse. This stage is not international delivery. Domestic tracking can show that a package has reached the warehouse address before LoloBuy has matched, opened, inspected and recorded the item. The official FAQ explicitly distinguishes “received” from appearing in “My Warehouse,” so a short processing gap is not automatically evidence that the parcel is lost.

Avoid treating any quoted domestic delivery window as a guarantee. Seller dispatch time, marketplace handling and carrier scans can vary. Use the order page for the current state and send an enquiry if the seller has not dispatched within the listing’s stated time or if tracking stops updating. If the seller changes the item, price or availability, answer the platform’s confirmation request with a clear decision. A rushed substitute can create a more expensive return later.

Step 4: inspect the warehouse record, not just the thumbnail

Once the item is stored, open its warehouse record and review the available photos, recorded weight, dimensions, status and service notes. The official purchasing guide says inspection and photos are provided after arrival. The more detailed inspection rules explain that the standard service can check visible information such as style, quantity, colour, size, model, damage and obvious defects and may provide several standard photos. Those checks are valuable, but they are not authentication and they do not prove hidden construction, electronics performance, material composition or fit.

Compare the photos with your saved listing. Look at the selected colour and size label, count, visible marks, general shape, print placement, major stitching lines and packaging condition. If the photos do not show the area needed to make a decision, consider a detailed or custom-photo service before removing packaging or submitting the parcel. The official rules state that sealed items and many professionally technical products receive limited inspection. Your goal is not to force certainty from incomplete evidence; it is to catch clear mismatches while the item is still in China and within any applicable return window.

Step 5: decide whether to keep, return or consolidate

A stored item creates a decision point. Keep it for a future consolidated parcel, submit it now, or request a return if the seller and timing rules allow. LoloBuy’s dedicated storage article currently says the free storage period is 180 days and says a reminder may be sent after 150 days. An older “How to purchase” article still says 90 days. Because the official materials conflict, the responsible approach is to treat the dedicated storage rule as the stronger published reference while checking the live warehouse page before planning around the final day. Do not use the maximum period as your normal operating plan.

Consolidation can reduce repeated base charges, but a larger parcel is not automatically cheaper or safer. It may cross a route weight band, become volumetrically expensive, contain mixed categories with different restrictions, or increase the value exposed to one customs decision. Group items because the route and packaging economics make sense, not simply because the platform allows it. Before submitting, remove items you still need to inspect or return. Certain packaging-removal services can make a product ineligible for return, so that irreversible choice belongs after the keep-or-return decision.

Step 6: submit and pay for the international parcel

The official process tells users to open My Warehouse, select stored items, enter the overseas address, choose an available shipping method and select optional parcel services. The route list is generated for the destination and goods, so an article cannot honestly name one universal “best line.” Compare the displayed estimate, billing rule, restrictions, insurance terms, tax treatment and service notes. Confirm that the recipient name, address, region, postal code and phone number match the destination’s delivery requirements.

The shipping amount paid at submission may be a deposit based on estimated weight. LoloBuy says the parcel is packed and weighed again, after which a difference may be refunded or a supplemental payment may be requested. Packaging choices can change both actual and volumetric weight. Removing a shoe box may reduce volume, while reinforcement and protective materials may add weight. The right choice depends on the item’s fragility and the route’s billing method. Saving a few dollars is not useful if the packaging no longer protects the item.

Step 7: track delivery and preserve evidence

After dispatch, track the parcel through the LoloBuy parcel page and the carrier identified there. A tracking number does not guarantee a fixed delivery date. Export processing, flights, customs, local hand-off and recipient availability all affect the timeline. LoloBuy’s help material is direct about the limits: delays, taxation, confiscation, loss or damage can occur while third-party logistics providers and customs control the parcel. Route marketing should therefore be read as an estimate, not a promise.

Keep the order page, parcel number, declared contents, payment records and tracking history until the parcel is complete. When the package arrives, photograph the exterior before opening, especially any dent, tear, water damage or resealing. Record a continuous opening video for a high-value or visibly damaged parcel. The official after-sales instructions ask for detailed descriptions and photos of the parcel and product. Evidence collected at delivery is stronger than a reconstruction several days later.

A practical first-order checklist

For a first order, keep the experiment small. Choose one or two items with clear listings, understandable measurements and visible seller information. Estimate international freight before buying, but leave a margin because the final packed parcel can differ. Review warehouse photos promptly. Decide on returns before altering packaging. Submit a route you understand, not simply the cheapest line. This slower first cycle teaches the real workflow at a lower financial cost.

Most costly mistakes happen when a shopper treats separate decisions as one decision: finding a product becomes “the item is good,” paying for it becomes “delivery is covered,” receiving QC photos becomes “quality is guaranteed,” and getting a tracking number becomes “customs is solved.” LoloBuy’s own documentation does not make those promises. A useful spreadsheet or guide should not make them either. Use the platform for the tasks it actually performs, keep control of the decisions it leaves to you, and recheck live terms whenever money, returns or shipping eligibility are involved.
